U.S. Launch Facilities


The United States contains a wide variety of government and private launch facilities around the country and even some of these are located out of the country. Each facility possesses its own unique characteristics, from the Kennedy Space Center / Cape Canaveral Air Force Station capabilities of launching spacecraft into a east-west type orbit to that of the Kwajalein Missile Range capability of providing a missile trajectory that mimics Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs).
